ServisFirst Bank Continues Growth with the Creation of the Private Client Group and Four New Hires

ServisFirst Bank CEO and President Tom Broughton announced today the creation of the Private Client Group which includes new hires Scott Crain, Senior Vice President; Jack Armistead, Senior Vice President; Kiley Elmore, Vice President; and Derek Johnson, Vice President.
 
“These individuals are a natural fit with the culture of ServisFirst,” Broughton says. “Like our bankers, they are all pioneers, not settlers.”
 
Scott M. Crain, Senior Vice President, has served in numerous capacities with many influential Alabama banks. Prior to ServisFirst, Mr. Crain was the Senior Vice President and Wealth Management Market Executive at BBVA Compass from February 2008 to present, where he was responsible for managing all aspects of the Wealth Management in Birmingham, Montgomery, Central Alabama and Southeast Alabama, including Private Banking, Trust and Investment Management. Mr. Crain also served as Senior Vice President and Private Banking Manager – Birmingham – from 2003 until 2008 and served as Vice President and Private Banking Officer from 2001 to 2003.
 
Mr. Crain graduated from Louisiana State University’s Graduate School of Banking in 1996 and received his Bachelor of Science in Marketing from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 1987.
 
Jack R. Armistead, Senior Vice President, previously served as Senior Vice President/Relationship Manager at BBVA Compass Bank from 1985 to present. He is a Registered Representative (Series 7). Mr. Armistead was employed by Colonial Bank as its Vice President and Branch Manager of its Vestavia Office from 1973 until 1985 and was the Senior Assistant Manager of the National Bank of Detroit, MI. In addition, Mr. Armistead served as Captain and B-52 bomber navigator and bombardier in the U.S. Air Force from 1964 to 1969, where he participated in 110 combat missions in Vietnam. Mr. Armistead continued his involvement in the military serving as Lt. Col. And Weapons System Operator on RF-4C Phantom Jet aircraft in the Alabama Air National Guard from 1975 until 1991.
 
Mr. Armistead is a Board Member for the American Cancer Society and is a member of the Birmingham Aero Club. He is also on the Missions committee, Endowment committee, Board of Stewards and teaches Sunday School at Bluff Park United Methodist Church. Mr. Armistead received Bachelor of Science degrees from Samford University and Southwestern Oklahoma State University as well as his M.B.A. degree from the University of Detroit, Michigan.
 
Kiley Wayne Elmore, Vice President, previously served as BBVA Compass’ Vice President of Wealth Management from 2001 until joining ServisFirst, where he was the relationship manager focusing primarily on the banking relationships of high net worth individuals. He also served as personal banking officer of the Trussville branch. Prior to BBVA Compass, he served as the Assistant Vice President of The Headland National Bank from 1999 until 2001. From 1994 until 1999, he was the Operations Manager for Averitt Express.
 
Mr. Elmore received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Auburn University and received his Associate in Science degree from George C. Wallace Community College in 1991. In addition, Mr. Elmore professional affiliations include the Southern Trust Graduate School (2010), American Cancer Society Golf Tournament Committee (2007-present), Board of Directors of the Leadership Community Bankers (2000-2001) and the Community Bankers Association of Alabama (1999-2001).
 
Derek A. Johnson, Vice President, previously served as Vice President/Relationship Manager for the Wealth Management Group of BBVA Compass since 2000, where he ranked first in loan production, 9th in deposits and 7th in non-interest income through the first quarter of 2010. Additionally, he served as Assistant Vice President, Assistant Relationship Manager and Finance Officer for Compass Bank since 2002. Additionally, Mr. Johnson was the Fabrication Division Controller from 2001 until 2002.
 
In 2000, Mr. Johnson received his Bachelor of Science in Commerce and Business Administration from The University of Alabama. Mr. Johnson’s community involvements include member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Board of Director’s of Crisis Center, Junior Executive Board of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Alabama and the Phoenix Club of Birmingham.
