Lydia Wilbanks – Managing Partner

Lydia Wilbanks brings more than 25 years of corporate marketing experience to her clients. As an expert in understanding and forecasting customer trends, she has extensive experience in new business development and target market analysis. For the past six years, her focus has been on increasing market share and expanding target audiences for Southern-based companies.

Prior to starting Wilbanks Agency, Lydia held executive positions in New York City with Macy’s Herald Square, Ann Taylor and Henri Bendel as well as serving as Sportswear Editor of the Tobe Report (www.tobereport.com) and Worldwide Marketing Director of Cotton Incorporated (www.cottoninc.com). After relocating to Birmingham, Ala., she became Creative/Marketing Director for Avondale Mills in Sylacauga.

Lydia previously served on both the junior and senior boards of Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club in New York City, Guggenheim Museum and Fashion Group International.  She is a former president of the Birmingham Art Association and monthly contributor to Style File in the Birmingham Weekly.

She is a current board member of Southern Environmental Center, March of Dimes, a member of the Board of Trustees for the Birmingham Business Alliance and a member of the Atlanta Press Club. She has been honored as one of Birmingham Business Journal’s “Top Women” (2004), nominated by the national Stevie Awards twice for Best Entrepreneur (2006, 2007) and currently serves as a judge for their annual awards event. Lydia has been recognized as a Birmingham Business Journal Rising Star Finalist (2007), the agency was nominated for the Birmingham Chamber Small Business of the Year Award (2009).

Lydia received her education from Boston University, Parsons School of Design and The Tobe-Coburn School in New York City. She has three children and currently resides in Mountain Brook.
