Ashley Fulmer, APR Earns Both Distinction and Award at Recent SPRF Conference

Ashley Fulmer, APR, Senior Public Relations Director at Wilbanks Agency, received both a distinction and writing award at the Southern Public Relations Federation (SPRF) Annual Conference, held October 4-6 in Tunica, MS.

Fulmer was named an SPRF Senior Practitioner, an honor bestowed by peers recognizing veteran public relations professionals with high ethical standing. Additionally, she earned an Award of Merit for Writing in Public Relations for her work with Mount Royal Towers.

Founded in 1972, SPRF is a regional network of more than 1,300 public relations professionals from Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana and north Florida who share a common interest in the public relations profession.

About Ashley Fulmer, APR

Prior to joining Wilbanks Agency in 2008, Fulmer was the Public Relations Director for Style Advertising, Inc. She also has previous experience within the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Athletic Department, the UAB Creative and Marketing Group and Concepts Public Relations.

She has been on the Public Relations Council of Alabama (PRCA) Birmingham Board of Directors for five years and currently serves as its Accreditation Chair. Additionally, she serves as Media Chair for Catalyst of Birmingham, APR Chair for the State Board of PRCA, Media Chair for local charity organization Laps for CF and Public Relations Director for Sidewalk Film Festival. 

Ashley graduated cum laude from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2001 with a degree in Mass Communications. In April 2007, she received the distinction Accredited in Public Relations (APR), a professional accreditation for public relations professionals who demonstrate their commitment to the profession and to its ethical practice and who are selected based on broad knowledge, strategic perspective and sound professional judgment.
